Comp.1
For this assignment we had to go out and takes pictures that represent each of the composition rules. (Rule of thirds, pattern, symmetry, etc). All of these "rules" of photography when using them in pictures, it makes the picture more appealing to the eye. While doing this assignment one thing I struggled with was finding good lighting and places to take the pictures. But it was also kind of fun to be creative and try to get a good picture out of something boring.
This is a example of Rule of Thirds because the subject or point of interest is on the on one of the lines of the rule of thirds.
This is a example of Lines because you can see the lines on the lower half of the picture intersecting. Making this picture more interesting to the eye.
This is a example of Texture because the picture is focused on the texture of the bark of the tree.
This is a example of Depth of Field because I focused on the fence but the football field is in the backround showing distance and depth in the picture.
This picture represents symmetry because if you draw a line down the middle, each side is almost the same as the other side.
This picture show's Pattern because the pattern of the lockers in a row keeps occurring. Which is appeling to the veiwer
Comp.2
For the second compisition assignment we learned more about the different "rules" of photography. These rules make a photo more appealing to the veiwer. One thing I struggled with was the color picture because you need to have good lighting. But once you have lighting and a subject with alot of color then its easier.
